Brought to you by brothers Hesam and Shahab Ghaemi (ex-Crime Lab, Century Restaurant & Bar) this upscale burger hub brings fresh flavour to the south end of the Granville Entertainment District.
On a quest to produce the world’s finest burgers (there are 10 in total), Chef Shahab uses natural, local ingredients that feature Kobe beef, Alberta AAA freshly-ground prime rib as well as Fraser Valley Free Range Chicken, Pacific Yellowfin (Ahi) Tuna and West Coast Dungeness crab. The 6.5 oz prime rib patties, ranging in price from $14 to $21, are topped with pancetta, portabella mushrooms, chipotle or truffle aioli, caramelized onions and Guinness cheddar.
All the burgers are served on a brioche bun, which adds that French flavour that you only get when biting down on French things, like Montreal Smoked Meat or Patrice Bergeron’s fingers.
With décor by Craig Stanghetta, the same guy who designed Meat & Bread, the quirky yet sleek surroundings provide a fun spot for chowing down; and with their big glass windows, a great vantage point for Granville St. people watching (especially after a few drinks from their well stocked bar, which often leads to more drinks and a transformation from people watching to people heckling).
