You know all about that number.
It’s the number of runs a batsmen needs to score a century in cricket. It’s the number of tiles in a game of Scrabble. It’s the number of times you’ve woken up and told yourself you’ll never touch booze again.
Because we know you didn’t really mean it, we can tell you that 100 is also the number of different brews on offer at the Canada Cup of Beer, taking place Saturday, July 14th at Swangard Stadium.
On hand will be dozens of different craft, domestic and international brewers, including Lighthouse, Red Truck, Big Surf and Yangjing. Each brewer will set up their own station and hand out tasking cups of their finest ales in exchange for tokens which can be purchased for just $1.50.
With so many different brews to sample you need to consider pacing yourself, a concept you normally associate with mid-coitus thoughts of baseball and Betty White. To ensure you last awhile even if it’s your first time, they’ll have some tasty eats on hand courtesy of title sponsor Nando’s Chicken and a variety of other food vendors, along with live music and other entertainment.
The event runs from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door. That gets you admission, plus three tasting tokens (redeemable for mini tasting cups of beer).
