Last minute trips to spear fish in the Maldives aside, you prefer when beauty comes directly to you.
So while you’re more than happy to hit up a Las Vegas car show every now and then, it’s good to know that the Luxury & Supercar Weekend is back in Vancouver this weekend to host its own version of the famous wheel watching extravaganza.
Kicking off on Saturday, September 8th at VanDusen Botanical Gardens, the Shaughnessy Concours d’Elegance Luxury & Supercar Weekend is a garden party full of millions upon millions of dollars worth of pimpin rides, from exotics, to muscles, to vintage, to concept cars. Consider it your chance to stare at some seriously hot bodies without the risk of a lifetime ban from Bikrams.
Here are a few of the beauts on display this weekend:
Robbie Dickson’s Chrome Lamborghini Aventador (LP700-4): This Italian Supercar is the fastest Lamborghini ever made and has the highest power-to-weight ratio in its class, which is an impressive accolade considering that 90 pound Latvian lass that would to practice her clean and jerk on you — explosive, to say the least.
The new McLaren MP2-12C: the latest installment from the famous British Formula One racing team that boasts a twin-turbo, high revving all-aluminum V6 with 440 hp.
Real Housewives of Vancouver star and supercar owner, Reiko Mackenzie’s Ferrari 599 GTO: it’s the fastest production built, limited-edition Ferrari, and it will be on display along with Reiko’s brand new, modification-laden, Ferrari 458 Italia, which we can safely say are the least transformative body modifications on display at the Mackenzie household.
All the big brands will also be there, showing off only the rarest and superist models of Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari, Maserati, Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, McLaren, Bentley, Aston Martin, Porsche, Audi, Jaguar, Range Rover, Alfa Romeo, Fisker, Tesla, Spyker, Lexus, Shelby, Bugatti… and bears, oh my.
Tickets for general admittance are $50, which is a pittance for a shindig that includes more hot action with young Italian models than a pool party at Burlesconi’s private island.
